Khadijeh Mahdi Pour Returns to Ilam Prison After Completion of Furlough

Khadijeh Mahdi Pour, a political prisoner, returned to Ilam Prison on Saturday, July 2, 2022, after the completion of her furlough period.

According to a report by Hrana news agency, the news organ of a coalition of human rights activists in Iran, on Saturday, July 2, 2022, Khadijeh Mahdi Pour returned to Ilam Prison after her furlough period ended.

This political prisoner was sent on a short-term medical furlough from Ilam Prison on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Ms. Mahdi Pour had previously been sent on a short-term furlough from Ilam Prison on April 1, 2022, and returned to prison on April 15, 2022, after her furlough ended.

Previously, Hrana had reported on the lack of medical attention to Khadijeh Mahdi Pour’s condition. Prior to this, after considerable delays in her transfer to the hospital despite the appearance of a dark spot in her eye, Ms. Mahdi Pour was finally transferred to a hospital outside the prison on December 4, 2021, and after receiving glasses and eye drops, was returned to prison.
