Hrana News Agency – Yesterday, Hrana reported on the murder of Ariana Lashkari by her father in the city of Nuraabad Mamasani. According to new information, this teenage girl, following what has been described as family disputes, went to her grandmother’s house when her father, armed with a hunting rifle, went there and shot her in the chest, killing his daughter.
According to Hrana News Agency, citing IRNA, on Monday night, June 27, 2022, a teenage girl was murdered by her father.
The identity of this teenager, “Ariana Lashkari, 16 years old, daughter of Mohammad Kazem and resident of the city of Nuraabad, a suburb of Mamasani County in Fars Province,” was confirmed by Hrana.
According to this report, Ariana, following what was described as a family dispute with her father, went to her grandmother’s house. Subsequently, her father came to his mother’s house armed with a hunting rifle, and after a quarrel with his daughter, he shot her in the chest, killing her.
Mohammad Kazem Lashkari confessed to his crime and said: “I did not intend to kill my daughter; Ariana was my eldest child and we have another 12-year-old daughter, but for some time I had been in disagreement with my eldest daughter over a matter. On that day, over these same disputes, Ariana went to my mother’s house, and I suddenly could not control my anger and went there with my hunting rifle to frighten her. I truly did not intend to kill my daughter, but I involuntarily fired and committed the murder of my daughter.”
Further details of this incident, including the motive for killing this teenager, are under investigation.
It should be noted that according to Islamic penal law, a father who kills his child, if convicted in court, is sentenced to pay blood money (diya) and imprisonment. In some cases, fathers, after learning that a father is not executed for killing a child, have committed murder.
