“Amanollah Qarayee Moghdam”: People Will Not Relent Until They Achieve Their Rights

“Amanollah Qarayee Moghdam,” a sociologist, referring to Iran’s situation said: People will not relent until they achieve their rights.
According to “Ruyedat 24,” sociologist Amanollah Qarayee Moghdam addressed Iran’s collapsed economic situation and examined its severe and irreparable consequences across various social strata.
Through investigations conducted by this sociologist, the interval between protests in the years 88, 96, 98, and 1401 has decreased from 8 years to 2 years, and the reason is the people’s empty stomachs. Until they achieve their rights, they will not relent. According to his statements and according to “Marx,” public despair leads to the consciousness of deprived classes, and they become convinced that the upper classes or the ruling authority will not address their pain and problems, and this is a factor in public protests.
While referring to people’s livelihood problems, he added: “What is the income of the majority of society? Many people are going through a daily grind and have no hope for the future. From a social, political, spiritual, psychological, and family perspective, we are facing a kind of crisis, and brain drain is one of the most striking effects of such a state. All the contradictions that exist in society—from rage, aggression, knife-wielding, addiction, divorce, and so on—are all due to economic factors.”
He emphasized in his remarks that materialism has become the factor in war, welfare, disputes, friendship, camaraderie, and human values; that is, appearance is what defines personality, and it is materialism that makes friendships serious or not serious. In fact, kinship relations, love, marriage, divorce, and so on are influenced by materialism, and in such a world where values are measured by materialism, humanity and spirituality have faded, but this does not mean they have completely disappeared.
Referring to human mentality in conclusion, he continued: “Human mentality has gone through three stages so far. The rational mentality that was dominant was in the fifth century, the spiritual, intuitive, and religious mentality became very prominent in the thirteenth century, but from the sixteenth century onward, materialism occupied all human thought and reason. This is something we witness greatly in Iranian society and specifically in the ruling authority, to the extent that it has made many selfish, opportunistic, egotistical, and profit-seeking.
Really, in such a society, how can people not protest and remain silent, when the majority of people are deprived of their rights and civic rights, some of which are very simple like freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom in dress—rights that are every person’s rightful due?
