Sistan and Baluchestan: Three Fuel Smugglers, Including a Teenager, Killed Following Military Forces’ Gunfire

Hrana News Agency – In recent days, gunfire by military forces in border areas of Hirmand and Golestan counties in Sistan and Baluchestan Province has resulted in the deaths of three fuel smugglers, including a teenager.
According to Hrana News Agency citing Hal-o-Sh, on Monday, June 26, gunfire by military forces in border areas of Hirmand county resulted in the death of one fuel smuggler.
The identity of this fuel smuggler is identified as Hossein Hormozi, 24 years old, son of Habib, resident of Milik village under Hirmand county, married with one young child.
The report states that military forces fired at Mr. Hormozi without prior warning on the border road between Milik and the city of Dost Mohammad while he was returning home on a motorcycle.
Furthermore, on Saturday, June 24, 1401, a teenage fuel smuggler was killed following gunfire by military forces in border areas of Hirmand county.
His identity is identified as Ali Norzehi, 16 years old, son of Fazlollah Ahmad, resident of “Dino” village under Hirmand county.
According to this report, the teenager in question was transporting three 20-liter fuel canisters in a Peugeot 405 vehicle, and the gunfire resulted in the death of this teenager by military forces.
Additionally, on Saturday, June 24, 1401, another fuel smuggler in Jalagh city, under Golestan county in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, was killed by direct fire from military forces.
The identity of this fuel smuggler is identified as Mohammad Rigi Moghadam (Raisi), son of Bahman, resident of Jalagh city.
The report states that military forces opened fire without prior warning toward this fuel smuggler, while Mr. Moghadam was not carrying any fuel and was only traveling with empty fuel canisters.
In a section of the annual report on the human rights situation in Iran for 2021, it addressed citizens who were killed or wounded by military organs.
In 2021, a total of 242 citizens were targeted by military forces’ gunfire, among whom 94 citizens lost their lives, a figure that includes the deaths of 23 porters, 31 fuel smugglers, and 40 ordinary citizens. 148 citizens were also wounded as a result of indiscriminate gunfire by military organs, of which 81 were porters, 51 were ordinary citizens, and 16 were fuel smugglers.
