Anisha Asadollahi and Keyvan Mohtadi Arrested

Hrana News Agency – Anisha Asadollahi and Keyvan Mohtadi, labor activists, were arrested on Monday, April 8, 2022 (19 Ordibehesht) by security forces at their residence and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hrana News Agency, the news organ of the Human Rights Activists in Iran coalition, at 2 PM on Monday, April 8, 2022 (19 Ordibehesht 1401), Anisha Asadollahi and Keyvan Mohtadi, labor activists, were arrested by security forces at their residence and transferred to an unknown location.
As of the time of this report, there is no information regarding the reasons for the arrest, charges, and the place of detention of these citizens.
Anisha Asadollahi and Keyvan Mohtadi have previously been arrested and convicted due to their activism. Ms. Asadollahi was arrested on April 1, 2019 (11 Ordibehesht 1398), coinciding with International Workers’ Day, during a rally held for this occasion, along with numerous activists in this field, and was transferred to prison. She was ultimately convicted by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges of disturbing public order to one year imprisonment and 74 lashes, with 6 months of her sentence suspended. She was arrested on December 5, 2019 (14 Dey 1398) following a summons to the Evin Prosecutor’s Execution of Sentences Office and was released from Evin Prison on February 20, 2020 (1 Bahman of the same year).
It is worth noting that Anisha Asadollahi is a graduate in electrical engineering from Khajeh Nasir al-Din al-Tusi University of Technology and prior to her arrest worked as an English language instructor in private educational institutions.
