Putin’s Senior Adviser Resigns in Protest Against Ukraine War

One of Vladimir Putin’s top advisers has left Russia after stepping down from his position.

Russia’s state media “TASS” reported that Anatoly Chubais, who served as Putin’s envoy on climate change issues, resigned in protest against the war in Ukraine.

According to some reports, Chubais gave Putin his first government position in the 1990s.

Chubais is described as an influential reformer in the Russian government.

According to media reports, this high-ranking Russian oligarch is the most senior Kremlin official to sever ties with the Kremlin following Putin’s large-scale attack on Ukraine.

It is unclear which country he has gone to.
