Cyberattack on Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Websites

Several internet and websites belonging to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic were targeted by a cyberattack on Monday, March 14.

Images circulated on social media show that these websites displayed images of Maryam and Masoud Rajavi, leaders of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization, along with the slogan “Death to Khamenei.”

The Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization has confirmed the cyberattack on the Ministry of Guidance websites.

Meanwhile, ISNA news agency reported that after displaying images of the “terrorist group of hypocrites,” it contacted some officials at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in relevant departments but was unable to obtain a response.

Similarly, in a previous incident, some IRIB networks and TeleVision were also hacked.

TeleVision, the live broadcast platform and archive of government radio and television networks of the Islamic Republic, was hacked on February 1 by the cyber group “Adalet Ali.”
