Slogans ‘Death to Khamenei, Curse on Khomeini’ Broadcast from Reza Bazaar Loudspeaker in Mashhad

According to a video obtained by Radio Farda, the slogan ‘Death to Khamenei, Curse on Khomeini’ was broadcast from the loudspeaker system of Reza Bazaar in Mashhad.
Merchants and shopkeepers in the bazaar stated that the Reza Bazaar sound system had been hacked, and these slogans were heard for an extended period.
One of Radio Farda’s audience members who sent this video noted that this incident occurred on February 9 (20 Bahman).
Meanwhile, the Organization of the People’s Mujahedin released a statement claiming that this action was carried out by “resistance cells.”
In the statement, it was reported that “on Wednesday night, February 9, 2022 (20 Bahman 1400), coinciding with the anniversary of the anti-monarchy revolution of 1979 (1357)” in Reza Bazaar in Mashhad, the slogans “Death to Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi,” “Death to the oppressor, be he shah or leader,” “Death to Khamenei, Curse on Khomeini, Hail to the Mujahed,” and the song “Rise up and destroy the enemy’s palace…” were broadcast collectively by “resistance cells.”
According to the statement, this action took place “during the busiest hours of Reza Bazaar’s operation” and “security and law enforcement officials present at the location were unable to take even the minimum action and failed to stop these slogans.”
Reza Bazaar is Mashhad’s largest and most important bazaar, built on two levels within the Razavi religious foundation’s facilities and housing dozens of commercial units.
The Islamic Republic News Agency confirmed in a report that “the internal sound system of Reza Bazaar in Mashhad was hacked and subversive slogans were broadcast from the loudspeakers in the bazaar space for brief moments.”
The news agency claimed that broadcasting these slogans “caused distress to merchants and pilgrims.”
Mohsen Davari, the governor of Mashhad, also announced: “Last night, in one of the corridors of Reza Bazaar in Mashhad, a small sound device controlled by a flash memory broadcast deviant slogans for a few seconds.”
In recent months, numerous hacking incidents have occurred in Iran, including attacks on television and radio networks and Iranian prisons.
On January 28 (7 Bahman), several Iranian television networks including Channels 1, Quran, Payam, and Javan were hacked for 10 seconds, broadcasting images of Maryam Rajavi and Massoud Rajavi, leaders of the People’s Mujahedin Organization, and an image of the Islamic Republic’s leader with a red X marked over it, with the slogan “Death to Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi” visible.
TeleVion, the live broadcasting platform and archive of the Islamic Republic’s state radio and television networks, was also hacked on February 12 by the cyber group “Justice Ali.”
This group had previously hacked Evin Prison and Qarchak Prison, providing videos to Radio Farda and other media outlets containing images of torture, mistreatment of prisoners, beatings, stripping of prisoners, smuggling of narcotics into the prison, clashes between guards, and prisoner suicide attempts.
