At Least Four Protest Gatherings Held
On Tuesday and Wednesday, November 19, several landowners of Asarak lands in Pardis gathered in front of the Building of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in Tehran, a group of workers from Iran Khodro Khorasan company held a protest at their workplace, a number of farmers from Isfahan protested for the third consecutive day along the dry bed of Zayanderud River, and a group of preschool instructors from Izeh city held a second consecutive day of protest in front of the Khuzestan Provincial Governorate building, demanding attention to their demands.
According to the Hrana news agency citing ISNA, on Wednesday, November 19, several farmers from Isfahan held a protest gathering for the third consecutive day along the dry bed of Zayanderud River in protest against the non-allocation of their water rights.
Farmers from Isfahan have long been protesting the state of water rights in the province and the drying of Zayanderud River.
According to this report, during today’s gathering, Abbas Moghtadaei, representative of Isfahan in the parliament, promised that on Thursday of this week, the assembly of representatives of this province would hold a meeting with the president to address the farmers’ demands.
On the other hand, the managing director of Isfahan Regional Water Organization claimed that providing water for farmers is currently not possible and postponed the decision-making on this matter to future rainfall.
Protesting farmers from Isfahan also held gatherings on Monday and Tuesday of the current week demanding the provision of their water rights.
Gathering of Asarak Land Owners in Pardis
According to the report of the Free Union of Iranian Workers, on Wednesday, November 19, 1400, several landowners of Asarak lands in Pardis held a protest gathering in front of the Building of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in Tehran in protest against the non-attention to their demands.
These citizens, who believe their lands have been seized by a company called “Pardis Urban Development,” demanded attention to their requests by chanting slogans such as “Government land-grabber must be condemned” and “This forged document must be invalidated.”
Gathering of Iran Khodro Khorasan Company Workers
According to the report of the Free Union of Iranian Workers, on Wednesday, November 19, 1400, a group of workers from Iran Khodro Khorasan company held a protest gathering by going on strike at their workplace in protest against the non-attention to their demands.
The protesting workers demand the elimination of mandatory overtime work and an increase in their salaries and benefits.
Gathering of Preschool Instructors from Izeh City
According to the report of the Free Union of Iranian Workers, on Tuesday, November 18, 1400, a group of preschool instructors from Izeh city held a second consecutive day of protest in front of the Khuzestan Provincial Governorate building and spent last night in front of the doors of the mentioned institution.
Based on this report, the gathering of these citizens took place due to the lack of attention to their employment situation.
