Suicide of a Teenage Girl in Khorramshahr

A 16-year-old girl, a victim of child marriage in Khorramshahr, took her own life by hanging and died. The share of Iranian adolescents in annual suicides has been reported by the Legal Medicine Organization to exceed 7 percent.

According to a report by Harana news agency, citing IRNA, a teenage girl in Khorramshahr took her own life and died.

In this report, citing an informed source, it states: “This teenage girl, who was married, committed suicide by rope for an unknown reason”.

He added: “The cause of suicide for this 16-year-old girl has not yet been clearly determined, but in legal medical examinations, suicide has been confirmed 100 percent”.

The share of Iranian adolescents in annual suicides has been reported by the Legal Medicine Organization to exceed 7 percent.
