At Least 8 Protest Gatherings Held / Strike by Petro Chemical Workers in Bushehr

On Tuesday, September 23, a number of active and retired teachers from 2020, and a group of teachers from the Literacy Promotion Movement gathered in front of the Parliament building in Tehran, teachers from Lorestan Province in front of the Provincial Education Department in Khorramabad, teachers from Khuzestan Province in front of the Provincial Education Department in Ahvaz, some victims of the Cryptoland exchange in front of the Economic Crimes Court in Tehran, a group of Green Report recipients for the eleventh consecutive day in front of the Ministry of Education building in Tehran, and workers from third-tier contractors of Faraj Jam Refinery in front of the refinery gates held protest gatherings demanding attention to their demands. Additionally, contract workers of Steam Company employed at a petrochemical site in Bushehr halted work and went on strike.

According to the Hrana News Agency citing the Free Union of Iranian Workers, on Monday, September 22, 2021, contract workers of Steam Company employed at a petrochemical site in Bushehr, in protest against the contractor’s failure to fulfill its promises, halted work and went on strike.

Teachers Gathering in Tehran

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, today Tuesday, September 23, 2021, a number of teachers in protest against the non-implementation of complete ranking according to 80 percent of faculty members’ salaries gathered in front of Parliament.

Lorestan Province Teachers Gathering

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, today Tuesday, September 23, 2021, teachers from Lorestan Province held a protest gathering in front of the Provincial Education Department in Khorramabad.

Protest teachers in this gathering demanded the implementation of employee ranking in accordance with 80 percent of faculty members’ salaries.

Khuzestan Province Teachers Gathering

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, today Tuesday, September 23, 2021, teachers from Khuzestan Province in protest against the non-implementation of educator ranking gathered in front of the Provincial Education Department in Ahvaz.

Green Report Holders Gathering

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, Tuesday, September 23, 2021, a group of Green Report holders for the eleventh consecutive day, in protest against the failure to address their demands, held a protest gathering in front of the Ministry of Education building in Tehran.

Some of these individuals have occupied the site and spent several recent nights at the same location.

Green Report holders are the first to third ranked candidates in the Article 28 employment examination who, according to these citizens, the Education Ministry despite severe staff shortages has refrained from hiring them and continues to use retired employees.

Retired Teachers from 2020 Gathering

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, Tuesday, September 23, 2021, a group of teachers retired in 2020 gathered in front of the Parliament building.

Based on this report, these citizens’ gathering was held in protest against the non-payment of their retirement bonuses.

Cryptoland Exchange Victims Gathering

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, Tuesday, September 23, 2021, some victims of the Cryptoland exchange gathered in front of the Economic Crimes Court in Tehran.

Protest citizens, through chanting slogans, demanded the return of their capital.

Faraj Jam Refinery Workers Gathering

According to the Free Union of Iranian Workers, Tuesday, September 23, 2021, third-tier workers of the morning shift at Faraj Jam Refinery in Bushehr Province refused to go to work and held a gathering in front of the refinery gates.

Based on this report, these workers who began gathering at 6:45 AM continued their protest in front of the refinery gates until 10:30 AM, but none of the officials responded to the workers’ demands, and consequently workers left the refinery and returned to their homes.

Non-payment of back-pay equal to other adjacent gas and oil companies and the elimination of non-obligatory overtime are among the protest issues of these workers.

Literacy Promotion Movement Teachers Gathering

According to ILNA, Tuesday, September 23, 2021, a number of teachers from the Literacy Promotion Movement gathered in front of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) building to express their demands.
