Iran’s Chief Prosecutor: Enemy Has Infiltrated the Religious Seminary

Mohammad Jafar Montazeri has spoken of three wars against the government. Iran’s Chief Prosecutor has stated that the enemy has attempted to infiltrate different levels of government. He has claimed that the enemy has also infiltrated into the Qom religious seminary.

Mohammad Jafar Montazeri, speaking at a general assembly session of student representatives and scholars of the Qom religious seminary, discussed enemy efforts to collapse the Iranian government and claimed that the United States, along with its regional allies, is attempting to infiltrate Iran’s governmental institutions.

Tasnim News Agency reported on Thursday, the eighth of Azar (November 29), on the statements of Iran’s Chief Prosecutor.

Mohammad Jafar Montazeri claimed in his speech that U.S. President Donald Trump has assigned more than 300 people since the beginning of his administration to create economic disruption in Iran.

The Enemy and Economic Warfare

Iran’s Chief Prosecutor stated in his remarks that the enemy has engaged in three different types of wars against the Iranian government. He said: “Among these wars and attacks are economic warfare, soft warfare, and infiltration warfare.”

While acknowledging that “part of the problems, disruptions, and economic difficulties afflicting our society stems from our own internal management,” Montazeri claimed that a significant portion of these disruptions stem from “enemy conspiracies.”

The Chief Prosecutor discussed the effects and consequences of the enemy’s economic warfare in Iran. He claimed that despite Khamenei’s discussion of “resistance economy,” “much has not been accomplished in this regard.”

When asked why much has not been done regarding “resistance economy,” Montazeri said: “Today, more than 90 percent of the country’s administrative matters are in the hands of the government and executive branch, and officials who should enter the field against economic war conditions do not and have not believed in the resistance economy as envisioned by the leader.”

Iran’s Chief Prosecutor identified the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE as responsible for “economic sabotage” in Iran.

Soft Warfare and Infiltration Warfare

Mohammad Jafar Montazeri identified cyberspace as the main arena for soft and cultural warfare. Iran’s Chief Prosecutor emphasized that Khamenei “has many emphases about cyberspace, of which only 50 percent is published by national media and other outlets.”

Montazeri referred to daily meetings of the Chief Prosecutor’s Office regarding cyberspace and criticized the lack of “necessary coordination.”

He claimed that “today, issues are being drawn in cyberspace making everyone think the country is collapsing, and this cyberspace news affects all of us.”

The Chief Prosecutor referred to infiltration as the third type of war against the Iranian government and claimed that the enemy has succeeded in infiltrating the country.

Montazeri said that one of the enemy’s areas of infiltration efforts is the environmental sector. He said: “For several years, America and Israel, through their agents in the environment, have infiltrated sensitive and vital locations in the country and have deployed their cameras to, for example, monitor certain animals.”

He said that infiltration agents in the environmental sector have been arrested. Montazeri identified another area related to “infiltration warfare” as the enemy’s efforts to infiltrate the religious seminary. In this regard, he referred to the infiltration of supporters of “Yamani” into the seminaries.

The Chief Prosecutor’s reference is to an individual named “Sayed Yamani” who claimed direct connection with the “Imam of the Time” and has supporters in several Shia-populated cities in Iraq as well as in some parts of Iran.

Three years ago, the “Abna” website (Ahl al-Bayt News Agency) published a report about the popularity of “Sayed Yamani,” referred to as the “Ahmad al-Hassan Movement.” Mohammad Jafar Montazeri’s statements now suggest the infiltration of followers of this movement into the Qom religious seminary. He considers the infiltration of “Yamani” followers into religious seminaries as part of “infiltration warfare.”
