“Green Report Card” Teachers’ Protests Enter Seventeenth Day

A group of “green report card” teachers gathered in protest on Monday, September 29, in front of the Ministry of Education building in Tehran for the seventeenth consecutive day.

The human rights website “Hrana,” which published this news, reported that several of these individuals spent the night at the same location and held a sit-in.

Those who passed the 1399 recruitment exam, colloquially referred to as “green report card” teachers, have repeatedly staged protests.

These individuals, many of whom traveled to Tehran from various cities to protest, began a new round of demonstrations on September 13.

The green report card holders participated in the centralized recruitment exam of executive agencies and received passing academic scores.

The reason for their protest is that they were rejected after the interview stage.

In response to these protests, Nasser Soleimanzadeh, head of the Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Center at the Ministry of Education, stated that introducing candidates to interview centers and document review does not create a right for their employment.
