Ranking of Happy Cities in the World; Tehran at 156th Place, Kabul Last

The 2021 global well-being report reveals that among 186 cities worldwide, Tehran, ranked 155th, is one of the unhappiest cities in the world.

This report is published annually by the “Sustainable Development Solutions Network” of the United Nations.

The effects of COVID-19 on happiness and countries’ differences in their success in reducing mortality and preserving public health and social cohesion are the focus of the 2021 report.

In this report, Helsinki, the capital of Finland, ranks first, while Mashhad ranks 156th after Tehran.

Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, is recognized as the unhappiest city in the world and ranks 186th.
