Fire Breaks Out in Isfahan’s Historic Bazaar

Isfahan firefighting authorities reported a fire that broke out in the city’s carpet merchants bazaar.

According to reports from Iranian media, the fire occurred on Wednesday morning, August 27, in the warehouse section of the carpet bazaar.

Some news agencies stated that the fire caused no casualties or material damage, and the cause is under investigation.

A spokesperson for the firefighting organization announced that the quick action of firefighters prevented the flames from spreading.

Isfahran’s carpet bazaar is located in the historic and old district of the city, next to the new bazaar and the Red Mosque in Isfahan’s traditional fabric, in Naqsh-e Jahan Square.
