Detained Civil Activists Released in Tehran

Narges Mohammadi, Ahmadreza Haeri, Poran Nazemi, Vida Rabani, along with several other detained civil activists in Tehran, have been released. These citizens were arrested yesterday during a protest gathering regarding recent developments in Afghanistan by security forces.
According to Hrana news agency, the news organ of the human rights activists collective in Iran, detained civil activists in Tehran were released on Wednesday evening, September 8, 2021.
Narges Mohammadi, Ahmadreza Haeri, Poran Nazemi, Vida Rabani, along with several other civil activists were arrested yesterday during a protest gathering regarding recent developments in Afghanistan by security forces.
The gathering was dispersed violently by security and police forces. Mobile phones of several protesters were confiscated or returned on condition of deleting filmed and photographed content. It is reported that some Afghan nationals were also among the detainees.
Mrs. Nazemi and Mrs. Mohammadi had recently faced legal proceedings in branch 2 of Evin Prosecutor’s Office along with 7 other civil activists. These activists were arrested on July 20 during a gathering in support of the people of Khuzestan in Tehran and were released hours later.
