Teenager Attempts Suicide in Kerman

On Sunday, June 2nd, a teenage girl in Kerman attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge, but police forces intervened and prevented her from carrying out the act. According to the Organization of Forensic Medicine, Iranian teenagers account for more than 7 percent of annual suicides.

According to Hrana news agency, citing ISNA, on Sunday, June 2nd, 1400, the police commander of Kerman County reported a suicide attempt by a teenager.

Mahdi Pour Amini stated in this regard: Officers from Kerman City Police Station No. 22, while patrolling one of the intersections in their jurisdiction, observed a teenage girl standing on top of a bridge behind the railings with the intention of committing suicide. The police officers, through their quick presence and intervention, as well as providing counseling, convinced the young girl to abandon her decision and return to life.

According to him, the teenager was referred to counseling centers.

Iranian teenagers account for more than 7 percent of annual suicides according to the Organization of Forensic Medicine.
