COVID-19 Cases in United States Surpass 10 Million

The United States became the first country in the world to exceed 10 million COVID-19 cases since the onset of the pandemic.
Reuters reported on Sunday, referring to the third wave of coronavirus across the United States, that approximately one million people in the country have contracted the coronavirus in just the past 10 days.
The United States recorded a new negative record on Saturday by announcing 131,420 new cases in a single day, although American officials say one reason for this high number compared to other countries is the greater number of tests conducted and the availability of coronavirus tests.
The average number of coronavirus cases in America over the past week has been 105,600 people daily, which exceeds the combined average of cases in India and France, two countries that have the worst situation in this regard in Asia and Europe.
So far, more than 237,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the United States, which is considered the highest death toll in the world.
