Iran Deputy Health Minister Says Coronavirus Will Increase in Autumn

Iraj Harirchi, Deputy Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of Iran, announced an increased likelihood of coronavirus and flu infections during the autumn season.

According to this health ministry official, vaccination against influenza will be increased in vulnerable groups to deal with this situation.

With the beginning of mourning ceremonies and holidays of Muharram in Iran, health ministry officials have warned about the spread of the third wave of coronavirus. The public has also been asked to refrain from traveling, especially to the northern provinces of the country.
