Reporters Without Borders Condemns IRGC Intelligence Treatment of Iranian Journalists

The Reporters Without Borders organization condemned on Saturday, February 23rd, the actions of the IRGC Intelligence Organization against journalists in Iran by posting a statement on Twitter.
The organization’s Twitter account referenced journalists such as Mohammad Mosaed, Maziar Khosravi, Yasmin Khalegian, Moloud Jaheezadeh, Yaghmamehr Feshkhaami, Ehsan Badaghi, and Shabnam Nezami, condemning what it described as arbitrary and unlawful actions by the IRGC Intelligence Organization in preventing journalists from reporting on social media networks.
In recent days, pressure on journalists, including economic reporter Mohammad Mosaed, has increased, and social media users have shared numerous reports regarding this journalist.
Social media reports indicate that this journalist has been summoned again by IRGC Intelligence.
According to these reports, Mr. Mosaed was forced to deactivate his Twitter and Telegram accounts during interrogation and has no right to any virtual activity until his court hearing.
This is not the first time Mohammad Mosaed has been summoned or detained. Previously, he had reacted to internet cuts in Iran during popular protests and after posting two tweets on his account.
In one of his tweets, which received widespread response, he wrote in English: “Tick tick hello free world… I used 42 proxies to write this. Millions of Iranians have no internet. Can you hear our voice?”
