Flood Victims in Jask Unable to Sleep Due to Cold

The Tasnim news agency reported that the situation of flood victims in Jask County, who are living in temporary accommodation camps set up by the Red Crescent Society, has become “unbearable.”

According to the report, the Red Crescent Society has established 6 temporary accommodation camps, but the residents of these camps lack sufficient heating equipment and warm clothing, and due to severe cold, they are unable to sleep at night.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Eslami, Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urbanism, visited the flood-affected areas on Sunday, the 29th of Dey month, and emphasized the need for swift compensation for flood damages.

Local authorities in Hormozgan Province stated that the floods caused 1,230 billion tomans in damages in Jask County and Bashagard.

Multiple images and videos showing the poor conditions of flood-affected villagers in this county have also been shared on social media.

Hajjiabad, Karuch Bala, Karuch Payan, Lirey, Sedij, and Grando are among the flood-affected villages in severe conditions.
