“I have no charge, my phone will die, don’t worry, I’ll be home in another half hour.” This was the last message a young woman named Lida Kaveh-Li sent to her sister’s mobile phone on Friday, Khordad 31st.

Lida Kaveh-Li, a young cyclist, has been missing since Friday afternoon on Khordad 31st and has not returned home, with no contact or trace of her available.

The news of Lida Kaveh-Li’s disappearance, who was a cyclist, photographer and Tehran resident, has been circulating across various social media networks, with users expressing concern about her fate.

Meanwhile, the family of this young woman has published photos and details about her on virtual pages and asked citizens to inform the family if they find any sign or trace of her.

After several days have passed, the fate of this young woman remains shrouded in mystery, with social media users speculating about what happened to her.

Some have written that this young female cyclist “has been threatened several times by Basijis and hardliners with acid attacks and death because of her cycling.”

Others have written: “She was fond of walking and cycling, and abduction is also a possibility” and asked other users to refrain from spreading speculation.

Neda Kaveh, the sister of this young cyclist, told Deutsche Welle Farsi: “The news published on social media claiming that her sister was threatened by Basijis because of cycling is not true.”

Neda Kaveh says the only thing she heard from her sister was about traffic guidance and riding assistance while cycling.
