“Five Killed and Six Injured” Following Gas Pipeline Explosion Near Ahvaz

The Fars News Agency reported on Thursday, citing the CEO of Ahvaz Fire Department, about a deadly explosion in the gas pipelines on the Ahvaz-Mahshahr highway.
Reports so far indicate that five people died in this explosion.

The news agency reported the death toll from this incident as five people and attributed the cause to “gas leak.”
Fars reported, citing the head of Khuzestan Emergency Center: “In the gas pipeline explosion incident due to gas leak on the Ahvaz to Bandar Mahshahr highway, five people have been killed so far and six people have been injured.”
In contrast, the Khuzestan Crisis Manager announced the number of deaths as four people.
According to Ali Tarab Pour, the director of Ahvaz Fire Department, “In this incident, one bus, one Samand vehicle, and one Nissan pickup were engulfed in fire.”
He further noted that “currently, there are no statistics on the number of injured.”
