UN Warns About Health of Prisoners Like ‘Arash Sadeghi’ in Iran

The UN Human Rights Commission issued a statement urging Iran to provide medical treatment for prisoners who have urgent medical and healthcare needs.

The statement, released on Wednesday, July 10, said the Human Rights Commission has repeatedly requested this from Iran, but despite assurances given, the situation of these individuals facing death risk has not improved.

Reporters from the commission say these cases are no longer rare occurrences, but rather a systematic pattern in how prisoners are treated.

The statement also warned about the situation of Arash Sadeghi in Rajaishahr Prison, Ahmadrezaa Jalali, and Kamran Qaderi, and stated that they and female prisoners, such as Nazanin Zaghari and Narges Mohammadi, lack access to medical services despite urgent need.
