Judicial Official: Imprisonment in Islamic Republic Reduces Afterlife Punishment

According to the head of the judiciary of Razavi Khorasan Province, serving time in prison in the Islamic Republic reduces a person’s punishment in the afterlife.
The official Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday, citing Ali Mozaffari, head of the Razavi Khorasan judiciary, that imprisonment in the Islamic Republic has “afterlife effects,” including the fact that “this punishment is taken away from them in the afterlife.”
This comes as the Iranian judicial official stated that “if a person was in prison during the time of tyranny, their imprisonment would not reduce their afterlife punishment.”
