Israeli Minister Convicted of Spying for Iran Sentenced to Eleven Years in Prison

Gonen Segev, a former member of Israel’s cabinet, has been sentenced to eleven years in prison on charges of espionage and transferring information to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the sentence was issued following an agreement between Segev’s lawyer and the prosecutor.

The former Israeli energy minister was accused of transferring various information, including details about Israel’s energy sector, to Iran.
