Two Officials of Iran’s Social Security Organization Killed in Traffic Accident

During a visit by senior officials of the Ministry of Labor, Cooperation and Social Welfare to Golestan Province, one of the vehicles in the group was involved in a fatal traffic accident. The Minister of Labor, Cooperation and Social Welfare of Iran was traveling to Golestan Province to visit several projects.

The vehicle of Taghi Nurbakhsh, CEO of Iran’s Social Security Organization, was involved in an accident on Thursday evening, November 5 (November 15) in Golestan Province, and as a result of severe injuries, both Taghi Nurbakhsh and Abdolrahman Tajalddin, Parliamentary Deputy of the Social Security Organization, passed away.

According to ISNA, Iran’s Student News Agency, Mojtaba Khaldi, spokesperson for Iran’s Emergency Organization, wrote about this: “A Toyota Landcruiser vehicle collided with a fuel tanker truck in Golestan Province.”

Ali Yazarlou, Director of Public Relations of Golestan Province’s Governorate, also explained that the vehicle carrying Taghi Nurbakhsh, head of the Social Security Organization, collided with a truck at the beginning of the western entrance to Gorgan (Shastkolate) and overturned.

Amir Hasan Mousavi, head of Hakim Jorjani Hospital in Gorgan, said that the injured had suffered severe injuries.

Tasnim News Agency reported that Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, and Seyedmanaaf Hashemi, Governor of Golestan Province, were present at Hakim Jorjani Hospital in Gorgan to follow up on the condition of the accident victims.

Mojtaba Khaldi, spokesperson for Iran’s Emergency Organization, said that the condition of Khalil Hanif, Director General of Provincial Affairs of the Ministry of Labor, who was the driver of this vehicle, has also been reported as critical.
