123 Iranian Refugees in Turkey’s Chanakkale to Receive Deportation Orders Soon

According to reports, the migration authority in Chanakkale, Turkey has been preparing a list of 200 people for violating asylum regulations set by Turkey’s migration department. The authority is sending the cases of these individuals to Turkish courts.
According to Mani Media correspondent, the names of 123 Iranian refugees appear on this list. Most of these individuals are Christian refugees, and among them are people who have been accepted by the United Nations. Unfortunately, the only violation committed by these individuals was leaving their city without formal permission from the city authorities, which led to this situation.
Based on this, refugees, after multiple follow-ups with the migration authority and repeated rejections in Turkish courts, have not only received unconvincing answers but also lack any monitoring or security support from the United Nations. Deportation orders for these individuals will be issued soon. If they do not comply with the issued order, they will be directly deported to Iran.
This report adds that Turkey’s migration authority has explicitly stated that according to the policies being implemented, many Iranians must leave Turkey, and there will be no guarantees even for those who have UN acceptance.
Although some time ago, two Iranians who formally held Turkish residence permits were easily deported to Iran by Turkish police in Ankara. According to received reports, two Iranian Christian refugees who had UN acceptance and were involved in missionary activities were deported to Iran by Turkish police some time ago.
It should be noted that Iranian refugees, regardless of their refugee status, must be careful not to violate the laws of the migration and refugee authority and must not leave their city of residence without permission from this authority.
