Burned Body of Young Girl Found; Suspected Rape Case
In southern Iran, along the route between Khorramshahr and Abadan Airport, the burned body of a ten to twelve-year-old child was discovered by municipal workers.
A local official stated that it is possible this child, like Atena, a girl from Parsabad, may have been victimized by a rapist and murderer who burned her to conceal the crime. Since there have been no reports of a missing child matching the description of the discovered body in the area in recent days, the identity of the girl remains unknown.
A security official told Rena news agency that the perpetrator may have committed the crime in another location and, after burning the girl, transferred the body to this site.
The security official stated that he refrains from making definitive statements until the completion of the forensic medical examination.
