Deception and Tricks by Iran’s Government Against Protesting Drivers

According to FCN news agency; the justified and rational strike and protest by the class of drivers and freight and passenger terminals in Iran continues and maintains special cohesion, unity and solidarity.
Meanwhile, the promises and messages from government officials not only failed to calm the protesting drivers but further increased their solidarity and unity, making them more determined in achieving their demands. It must be understood that unfortunately the Iranian government and state system have undervalued this hardworking class who are always away from their families, and in many cases have ignored their rights. This matter is completely contrary to the laws, approaches and practices of other countries in the world, which until now has remained hidden from the view of the international community.
However, it is noteworthy that Iran’s state system has resorted to a strange trick regarding this matter and to counter the drivers’ strike. Based on received reports, the governorate of all Iranian provinces and cities, through confidential correspondence with municipalities and government departments, has requested the submission of statistics on the number of heavy machinery and the number of first-class drivers. Therefore, given this unusual correspondence and the successive meetings of mayors of major cities, managers of freight terminals and governors in recent days, it appears that currently road transportation work in Iran is being carried out silently by municipal and roads and transportation machinery. Because these vehicles bear special insignias of organizations and do not provoke the protesting drivers.
It is most regrettable and sorrowful; a government that proclaims the slogan of justice, instead of solving the problem has resorted to deceiving people and misusing state-owned machinery.
