Trump Again Harshly Attacks Iran

The President of the United States, in Jerusalem, strongly criticized Iran in support of the Israeli government. He expressed optimistic views on the possibility of peace between Israel and Palestinians.

Donald Trump, at the end of his visit to Israel, once again criticized Iran’s role in the Middle East in the harshest terms. In a speech delivered on Tuesday afternoon (May 23), he assured Israeli leaders that as long as he is in office, Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons.

Right-wing circles in Israel, alongside government officials of the country, expressed satisfaction with the new position of the United States regarding Israel.

Trump endorsed the ideological slogans of the Israeli government and said: “Jews have an eternal right in Israel. The Jewish people have an ancient connection to this land that dates back thousands of years to the time of King David’s reign”.

He emphasized: “My administration will always stand with Israel”.

Trump clarified that he has had constructive discussions with Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, and Benjamin Netanyahu, which have given him hope regarding the possibility of peace in the Middle East.

He added that he knows establishing peace in the region will not be easy, but according to him, it is possible “with effort and sacrifice”.

Trump will leave Israel on Tuesday evening for Rome and will meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Wednesday.
