Islamic Republic of Iran Ranks in What Position on ‘Perception of Corruption’ Index

The World Economic Forum released a report on the economic competitiveness of countries worldwide on Tuesday. Using the methodology related to the “Corruption Perception Index” of Transparency International, the World Economic Forum has also ranked 140 countries in terms of their level of corruption.
On this basis, a score of one hundred was assigned to a country with no corruption, and a score of zero was given to the most corrupt country.
According to Business Insider, the most corrupt countries according to the World Economic Forum are mainly located in Africa, Central America, and the Middle East, which have weak legal and governmental systems and widespread poverty.
For example, Yemen, which is in the midst of a devastating war, has been named the most corrupt country, but several countries that are among the world’s 20 largest economies are also on the list of corrupt countries.
Business Insider has published the names of countries that received scores between 0 and 30 as corrupt countries.
Yemen with a score of 16 is the most corrupt country.
In the second rank of the most corrupt countries, Venezuela ranks with a score of 18.
Tajikistan ranks fifth with a score of 21.
Zimbabwe with a score of 22 ranks eighth.
Lebanon with a score of 28 ranks 17th.
Mexico and Russia with a score of 29 rank 22nd, and the Islamic Republic of Iran with a score of 30, jointly ranks alongside Sierra Leone at position 29 among the most corrupt countries.
