The European Union added two Iranians to the list of terrorist individuals and groups.

The European Union issued a statement today, Wednesday, January 9, announcing that it has added the names of two Iranian citizens, including the deputy head of internal security at the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, to the list of terrorist individuals and groups.

The reason for this was the failed attempt to carry out attacks on European soil – including France and Denmark. The Dutch Foreign Minister also accused Iran of involvement in two murders that occurred in the country.

Yesterday, the European Union foreign ministers agreed to place the Deputy Minister of Internal Security of the Ministry of Intelligence, along with Saeed Hashemi-Moghaddam, a member of the ministry, and Asadollah Asadi, an Iranian diplomat in Austria, on the list of terrorist individuals and groups.
