Information about the import of the coronavirus vaccine is prohibited without permission from the Ministry of Health.

The head of the National Coronavirus Headquarters' Information Committee, in correspondence with the head of Iran's Customs, prohibited information on the import of foreign vaccines, including the amount of import, distribution, injection, etc.

According to the Tasnim News Agency on Wednesday, May 19, the head of the Corona Information Committee said in the letter that, based on the Corona Vaccination Information Procedure, all matters related to vaccine information must be carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Medical Sciences.

He claimed that the purpose of this ban is to "prevent citizens from being exposed to scattered and contradictory information and to prevent the abuse of hostile currents against the system and the country."

The aforementioned argument for banning information about vaccines comes despite recent reports of "tens of thousands of vaccines being lost in the country," but the Ministry of Health denies this.

Recently, Tehran representative Mohsen Dehnavi announced the loss of "200,000 corona vaccines."

The Ministry of Health has also prohibited information about domestic vaccine production, import volume, country of origin, distribution method, injection rate, and vaccine side effects without coordination with the ministry.
