Arrest of another signatory of the 77-person statement

Mohammad Kianoush Rad, a reformist political activist and one of the signatories of the statement known as the Statement of 77, has been arrested.

According to the ILNA news agency, security forces have arrested Mr. Kianoush Rad at his home and transferred him to Evin Prison.

After the severe repression of the protesters, 77 political activists from various reformist factions issued a statement calling for legal action against those who shot people.

After the publication of this statement, some of the signatories of this statement, including Mostafa Tajzadeh, Hossein Karroubi, Ghorban Behzadiannejad, Hassan Asadi Zeidabadi, Issa Saharkhiz, and Reyhaneh Tabatabaei, were summoned to the prosecutor's office.

Mehdi Mahmoudian, one of the 77 signatories of the statement, was also arrested on Tuesday, December 9, after being summoned to the prosecutor's office.
