Dr. Raghfar: The only way to save Iran is to withdraw the military and Friday prayer offices from the economy

Economist Dr. Raghfar considered the only way to save Iran to be the withdrawal of the military and Friday prayer offices from the economy.

Dr. Hossein Raghfar is a reformist economist, professor of economics, and faculty member at Al-Zahra University. He is also a former Iranian national football player. Dr. Raghfar has conducted research in the field of poverty and has also authored books on social welfare.

He warned of the bleak future of Iran's economy, saying: "In order to compensate for these resources looted from the banks, the government started increasing the price of currency and coins again. They melted down 76 tons of the country's gold, turned it into coins, and handed them over to the banks to sell at very high prices, just to compensate for the thefts that occurred in our banks."

This system, on the one hand, has expanded our commitments abroad in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and other countries, and they must be able to meet them. It is clear that the country's existing foreign exchange resources cannot meet the interests of five or six countries. Therefore, people are being squeezed every day so that they can pursue foreign goals.

"These resources belong to this society and should be invested here and for the people. We are already saying that in the current situation, there is a complete solution, the most important of which is the withdrawal of the military, security forces, scholars, mosques, Friday prayer leaders, foundations for the oppressed and martyrs, other foundations, and the executive headquarters of the Imam's decree from the country's economy. They give foreign exchange, loans, and credits to these people and they have no obligations whatsoever."

He also continued his speech by adding: "There is no opportunity to list only the loans and foreign currency credits that these people have taken from banks in the last few years and have no obligations for them. Throughout the entire war in 1986, the country's total foreign currency income was 7 billion dollars, which was used to run both the war and society. How is it that today the country's 80 billion foreign currency income is not enough to provide for the gentlemen. What really happened? These are resources that have left the country and we are facing capital flight. Corrupt banks are the cancerous tumor of the country's economy, so a very dark future awaits the government."

At the end of his speech, he was silent for a few moments with resentment and then continued: "More than anything, I am concerned about the integrity of Iran."
