Suicide of a 13-year-old teenager in Mashhad

On Thursday, March 25, a 13-year-old teenage girl in Mashhad committed suicide by jumping from the 11th floor of a residential tower and died. The Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7 percent.
According to HRANA News Agency, citing Event 24, on Thursday, March 24, 2021, a 13-year-old teenage girl committed suicide in Mashhad and lost her life.
The report states that the teenager went to the 11th floor of a residential tower located on Toos Boulevard in Mashhad and minutes later, while talking on the phone with someone, sat on the edge of the roof wall and hung her legs. Seeing the teenager in that situation, a number of residents of the complex called the fire department and several people went to the roof to try to stop her from doing this; but the teenage girl threw herself from the roof of the 11th floor in an instant and died instantly.
Firefighters and emergency services arrived at the scene when she showed no signs of life. Minutes later, the incident was reported to the Mashhad Special Murder Judge, and a field investigation into the matter began. Investigations revealed that the 13-year-old girl's parents had separated and the teenage girl was living with her parents and grandparents, but due to her emotional behavior during her teenage years, she did not have a proper relationship with her family, and ultimately, due to a series of family problems and emotional behavior during her teenage years, she ended her life.
According to investigations, it was determined that the keys to the roof entrance are held by the residents of the complex, and some of them use the roof of the residential complex even though safety issues have not been properly observed around it.
The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.
