Khamenei's "order" to prepare Persian Gulf islands for human settlement

Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy, says that the Leader of the Islamic Republic has issued an "order" to build residential buildings on the islands of the Persian Gulf and prepare them for people to live in.

He also warned that Iran would not allow the presence of "foreign" ships in the region.

The statements of this high-ranking IRGC commander did not mention the time when Ali Khamenei issued the order.

Mr. Tangsiri added in a radio interview on Wednesday, May 10 (Persian Gulf National Day): "Foreigners have no place in our region and they must leave this region."

Faris accused.

After this incident, US President Donald Trump also issued an order to destroy IRGC boats if they interfered with the US Navy.

In this context, on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani addressed American leaders and said that the Persian Gulf is not "Washington Bay" or "New York Bay" and that America should not "conspirate" against the Iranian people every day.

According to the Khabar Online website, the commander of the IRGC Navy, in part of his remarks on Wednesday, referred to Ali Khamenei's "order" to build on the Persian Gulf islands and prepare them for people to live in.

He said that when the "first person of the country" says, "We must prepare that place for people to live there," it means that we are seeking security for the region.

Mr. Tangsiri also mentioned the construction of an airport and breakwater on the islands of the Persian Gulf by the IRGC Navy (NDSA).

He said: "We have created an international airport in the Greater Tunb; an airport has also been built in the Lesser Tunb, and the IRGC Navy has also created more than 50 breakwaters for the people."

The United Arab Emirates has repeatedly claimed ownership of the islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb, and this issue has been supported by the Arab League on several occasions. Iranian officials have consistently denied this claim.

In 1977, following the British withdrawal from these islands after about 70 years of occupation and the formation of the UAE, Iran regained control of these islands.
