New record: The price of the coin has exceeded 3 million Tomans

A five percent price increase in one day. The price of a coin in the Tehran market crossed the 3 million Toman mark. The increase in the price of a coin in the market is happening in parallel with the unprecedented increase in the price of foreign currencies; an issue that has led to public dissatisfaction.
The economic section of the "Khabar Online" website reported on Thursday, July 28 (June 28), that the price of coins in Iranian markets has increased again.
According to this report, the price of each Bahar Azadi coin has increased by about 140,000 tomans to more than three million tomans.
The price of one gram of 18-karat gold has exceeded 246,000 tomans. At the same time, the price of each half coin has also approached one and a half million tomans.
Foreign currency prices
The value of the dollar in domestic markets is unclear. The government has spoken of a “agreed rate” for the dollar, an exchange rate that, alongside the official rate, should regulate the buying and selling of dollars in the country’s markets.
The Central Bank and officials of the Islamic Republic have not provided further explanation about this agreed rate, and it is not even clear how much higher this rate is than the official rate of 4,200 Tomans.
The official announcement of the dollar rate by the Central Bank not only did not prevent the increase in the price of the dollar and other foreign currencies in the Iranian market, but also fueled further turmoil in the Iranian currency markets.
The dollar's value has even reached 10,000 Tomans in recent days. This has led to the discontent of many market traders in Tehran and other cities.
According to official news, the price of each euro on Thursday, July 27, was around 9,700 tomans, and each British pound was traded at around 11,000 tomans.
