Resuming the destruction of Shiraz's historical fabric
Mohammad Mehdi Kalantari announced the start of renewed destruction of Shiraz's historical fabric.
Mohammad Mehdi Kalantari, secretary of the National Campaign to Save the Historic Texture of Shiraz, announced the threat of evacuation and the beginning of the demolition of some of the historic houses.
In the past few months, the news of the destruction of the historical fabric of Shiraz in order to increase the size of the Shah Cheragh shrine has generated widespread reactions. The people living in those houses have complained and announced that they will not leave their homes, while in order to evict the people of those areas from their homes, water, electricity, and gas have been cut off.
اکنون نیز انتشار خبر تخریب مجدد بافت تاریخی شیراز در شبکههای اجتماعی، واکنش مردم و برخی مسئولین را برانگیخته است. به نقل از «شبکه شرق» روند تخریب از روز جمعه برابر با 5 اردیبهشت شروع شده است. بدین منظور اداره راه و شهرسازی که مسئول تملکها است، با به کار گرفتن کارگرانی در 15 خانه به همراه وسایل تخریب دستی، ضمن جدا کردن درب و پنجرهها مشغول به تخریب و اوراق کردن خانهها شدهاند.
در این خصوص «سید موید محسننژاد» مدیر کل میراث فرهنگی ـ گردشگری و صنایع دستی استان فارس، ضمن تکذیبِ تخریب 15 پلاک از بافت تاریخی گفت: «تنها یک خانه آن هم به دلیل خالی بودن از سکنه، مورد سرقت قرار گرفته است. تاکید میکنم خانهای تخریب نشده و خبر تخریب 15 پلاک از خانههای بافت تاریخی درست نیست.»
Mohsen Nejad's denial comes while the people living in the aforementioned areas themselves reported the destruction of their homes. The Islamic Republic government not only intends to cover up its crimes with lies, but also denies making people homeless and seizing their properties.
