Murder of Haider Azimi in silence

Haidar Azimi was murdered in silence as a result of torture by repressive agents.

According to reports published on social media today, Heydar Azimi was arrested in the early days of the popular protests in Tabriz and was pressured and tortured to confess to the murder of Basij member Hossein Ojaqi, who was killed during the Tabriz protests.

In a brief phone call to his family, Heydar Azimi announced that Intelligence Department interrogators had tortured him with the aim of extracting a forced confession to the murder of Hossein Ojaqi.

Finally, after long periods of detention and torture, his body was returned to his family on January 3 and buried under strict security measures.

The repressive forces not only did not allow his funeral to be held, but they also threatened Azimi's family to remain silent and not provide information about the government-sponsored murder of their son.

Hearing this news, we can conclude that the Islamic Republic government does not care about the protests, the innocence, and the people's demand for justice. Rather, it only wants to blame the people for the murder of government agents and sentence them to death, so that perhaps it can prevent the popular revolution and protests.
