IRGC commander again opposes import of coronavirus vaccine: Maybe America will give us a paralyzing solution

Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, while once again opposing the import of the Corona vaccine, has said that the United States may want to give Iran a "paralyzing solution" through the import of the vaccine and cause the people to "face problems in the future."
On Sunday, August 21, Hossein Salami, emphasizing the need to increase domestic production of the coronavirus vaccine, said: "We cannot trust the enemy to allow foreign vaccine solutions to enter the country."
The most important domestic vaccine producer, Barakat Institute, affiliated with the office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, has provided less than 3 million doses to the Ministry of Health despite promising to provide 30 million doses by the end of August. The Revolutionary Guard Corps has also said it is preparing the Nora vaccine, but it is not clear when it will reach the production line.
In addition to the slowdown in domestic production, the decree banning vaccine imports from the UK and the US issued last year by Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, has also had a major impact on issues related to vaccine imports.
Iranian government officials initially halted the import process of a donated Pfizer vaccine shipment, but after a while announced that Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which are made in the US and the UK, could be imported if they were produced in other countries.
Currently, the Iranian government is mainly using Chinese vaccines from Sinopharm and has tried to reduce mortality by speeding up vaccination.
The death toll from the coronavirus has been on the rise in recent days, with official figures showing more than 600 people dying from the virus every day. The Iranian Medical System Organization has estimated the actual number of victims in Iran to be four times higher than the official figures.
