Marzieh Amirzadeh: The two nations of Iran and Israel must unite against their common enemy

Christian citizen Marzieh Amirzadeh called on the two nations of Israel and Iran to unite against their common enemy.

Marzieh Amirzadeh, an Iranian Christian citizen and religious freedom activist, was convicted of apostasy in 2009 for converting to Christianity. After months of intense interrogation and harsh mental and physical conditions, she immigrated to the United States. An author, speaker, and columnist, Marzieh has shared her life story and inspiring experiences throughout the United States and around the world during her years in the United States.

After Israel's attack on Iran, especially the elements of the Islamic Republic regime and the attack on Evin Prison, Marzieh Amirzadeh wrote a letter to the pilots and the army air force, thanking them. In this letter, she emphasized her bitter business in Evin Prison and the threats from the Islamic Republic, and referred to the historical and cultural relationship between Jews and Iranians, and expressed hope for the unity of these two nations to stand against their common enemy.

He wrote in the letter: "As a prisoner sentenced to death in Iran's infamous Evin Prison for converting to Christianity, I never imagined that I would one day be able to visit Israel, let alone establish warm and close relations with Israeli Jews."

I recently had the opportunity to especially thank the pilots and members of the Israeli Air Force for their remarkable achievements, which are of great importance to me personally.

My dear Israeli brothers and sisters! I am an Iranian woman who is well aware of the evil nature of the Islamic Republic regime, the enemy you fight and sacrifice your lives to defend your land and people. Like you, I have endured the brutality of this regime. In 2009, I was imprisoned for nearly nine months and sentenced to death by hanging simply for my faith in Jesus Christ. I witnessed the execution of my cellmates and my best friend, and I witnessed the torture and abuse of many innocent women. This regime killed my husband and destroyed my father’s life. I have faced great pain and suffering because of these extremist Islamists in my homeland.

Millions of Iranians are facing unimaginable atrocities. We share a common enemy. I also understand the suffering your people have endured at the hands of the Islamic Republic and its terrorist agents. I have felt ashamed all my life because of these evil rulers who share my language. Please know that the Islamic Republic does not represent Iranians. Millions like me have been oppressed and held hostage by the ayatollahs and their terrorist organizations in Iran and beyond. Like many Iranians, I have never hated you. Our cultures share deep similarities: kindness, hospitality, and a love of life.

Jews and Persians share a great history. Persian kings like Cyrus and Darius respected and supported you, God’s chosen people. But figures like Haman and the ayatollahs have always tried to create division among us. However, the God of Israel has always defended his people and proven his loyalty.

It is a great honor for me to call you my brothers and sisters. I pray that soon, Iranians and Jews will renew their friendship and celebrate together our victory over our common enemies. May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob bless and protect you and grant you wisdom and victory in every battle. I hope that one day the Lions of Judah and Iran will unite, our nations will come closer, and Iranians will rise up to reclaim their dignity and freedom and never allow evil to hold our country hostage. On behalf of my people, I admire your courage and will keep you and your nation in my prayers until we celebrate victory together.

"Your Iranian sister, Marzieh Amirzadeh"

Marzieh continues to work to raise awareness among the international community about the ongoing human rights violations and persecution of women and religious minorities in Iran.
