Iran's Statistical Center announced the inflation rate in August at 45.2 percent.

On Monday, September 28, the Statistical Center of Iran published its latest report, stating that the country's overall inflation rate in August was 45.2 percent.
According to this report, "Qom and Tehran have the lowest annual inflation rates at 40.9 percent and 41.8 percent, respectively, and Ilam has the highest annual inflation rate at 51.4 percent."
Meanwhile, Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, said on Monday: "We are seriously seeking to control inflation."
Fatemi Amin said that in order to curb inflation and regulate the market, "we have started meetings with friends in other ministries to gain control over the flow of production and distribution of goods so that we can predict shortages."
Last Thursday, in the first meeting of the government council, Ebrahim Raisi mentioned securing people's livelihoods as one of his government's priorities.
In recent months and weeks, numerous union and labor rallies have been held in some parts of Iran to protest the poor living conditions.
