"Masoumeh Yavari" was forced to confess under torture

"Masoumeh Yavari," accused of war crimes, was forced to confess under torture to save her son.
Masoumeh Yavari, 45, a former political prisoner, is a housewife who has been accused of committing war on Iran for setting fire to a Basij base on Taleghani Street in Golpayegan and for her association with Shabnam Madadzadeh, a member of the People's Mojahedin (MEK).
The charges against Masoumeh Yavari come at a time when she is suffering from a severe physical condition, making it impossible for her to sit or stand up with pain, and her physical condition does not allow her to go out into the street and set fire to a Basij base. She also met Shabnam Madadzadeh in 2009, when they were inmates in the same prison.
Ms. Yavari was arrested by security agents at her home on Tuesday, September 14, 1402, and two weeks after her arrest, her son, Mohammad Mehdi, a second-year student in the Department of Anesthesiology at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, was also arrested for following up on his mother's condition.
Masoumeh Yavari's physical condition is not good due to the removal of two discs in her back in the past few years. Before her arrest on the aforementioned date, she was experiencing severe back pain that did not even allow her to sit. In addition, she also suffers from thyroid disease and cardiac arrhythmia.
According to Iran Wire, a source familiar with Ms. Yavari's situation in prison said that she was tortured in prison and forced to confess by threatening that her son would be sentenced to 15 years in prison. She not only took responsibility for setting fire to the Basij base, but also admitted to many other things that even her soul was unaware of and were not even physically capable of.
According to the person, Ms. Yavari's arrest was related to the burning of the Basij base, for which they were looking for a suspect. Their evidence regarding Ms. Yavari was the testimony of an intelligence neighbor who had equipped the entire alley with CCTV cameras under the pretext that her house was located there and had handed the camera footage over to the intelligence agency as evidence, stating that their movements were suspicious.
The Islamic Republic's Intelligence Organization announced the time of the fire at the base in early Shahrivar 1402, while the base had been set on fire twice more after Ms. Yavari's arrest. Accusing Ms. Yavari of setting fire to the Basij base is a mistake, even if she had intended to do so, she would not have been able to do so due to her physical condition, as she has difficulty sitting down and standing up, let alone going out into the street and hastily setting fire to the Basij base and setting it on fire.
The issue becomes more complicated when the security and judicial apparatus of the Islamic Republic not only accuses her of this, which is why she has difficulty even sitting on a chair, but also puts her under pressure, harasses and tortures her, and threatens her with her child. Masoumeh Yavari was also forced to confess under torture in order to save her child's life from imprisonment.
