Ali Khamenei's hiding in an underground bunker is a hot topic for public criticism

Ali Khamenei's hiding in an underground bunker during the Israeli attacks became a hot topic of public criticism.

Immediately after the start of the Israeli attacks against Iran, Ali Khamenei hid in an underground bunker, so that even some of the country's senior officials did not have access to him, and from time to time, a recorded video message from him was released.

His very concealment as the leader of a nation made him a hot topic for criticism and ridicule from the public, social media users in Iran and abroad, and other activists. Some of these users criticized and ridiculed him by reposting messages that had been posted about him in the past.

Posting a picture of Ali Khamenei before and after the war, Karbi wrote: "Khamenei, who once called himself the "Guardian of the Order," is today the "Guardian of his own fear." Captive in hiding, with a trembling gaze and an empty voice. He who once usurped the nation's sovereignty now trembles with fear from the very people whose voices he suppressed for years. This is justice from history."

Donald Trump also responded to Ali Khamenei's statements that "Israel has been defeated and crushed" and his change in appearance compared to before the war, saying: "You have to tell the truth, you have failed miserably."

Another user criticized Ali Khamenei by posting a video of him giving a speech about the September 11 attacks. In that speech, Ali Khamenei had stated: “All American officials, the president, vice president, and high-ranking American officials, were missing for two or three days after the September 11 attacks on the two big towers in New York. We are not like this. If, God forbid, this nation faces a bitter experience and test, we ourselves will put on our combat uniforms and prepare to sacrifice ourselves in front of the nation.” This user wrote along with the posting of the aforementioned video and Ali Khamenei’s speech: “But you hid in such a way that at the height of the war, even the country’s senior officials could not reach you.”

Another user posted a picture on the X social network of Ali Khamenei, whose face looks more tense and frightened after the war, and wrote:

Another citizen, reposting Ali Khamenei's message from hiding, in which he stated that Israel had been defeated and crushed, sarcastically wrote: "Isn't martyrdom a blessing for you? So why are you hiding?" Another user also responded to Ali Khamenei's words by writing: "A brave leader doesn't hide from the beginning of the war. At least you were with the soldiers and gave them encouragement."
