Klitschko urged the Russian people to stand against Vladimir Putin, their President, and continued: “We are paying a very heavy price for the ambitions of one man.”

The Czech Republic has lifted a legal ban, paving the way for its citizens to voluntarily join the defense of Ukraine against Russian attacks. Petr Fiala, Czech Prime Minister, after meeting with Miloš Zeman, the country’s President, stated that anyone who wants to fight for Ukraine will be exempt from punishment. According to this country’s laws, fighting for another country’s army is prohibited for Czech citizens, and violation could result in up to five years imprisonment.

Baerbock added that Putin “can no longer be considered a partner.” Germany’s Foreign Minister clarified: “The clear vote of the UN General Assembly on the resolution against the Ukraine war proves his isolation.”
