Barna Group: 77% of American Teens Interested in Learning About Jesus

The Barna Group announced in a survey that 77% of American teenagers are interested in learning about Jesus Christ.
The Barna research group, which examines the state of Christianity in America, conducted a survey of American teenagers revealing that out of every four teenagers in America, three—comprising 77%—are eager and interested in learning about Jesus Christ. Of this 77%, 52% stated they are very motivated to learn about Jesus Christ, while the remainder said they have some interest in this knowledge. In the survey, 6% were somewhat unmotivated, 10% were unmotivated, and 7% said they were uncertain. The Barna Group, after reviewing this survey, described it as encouraging. The group also stated: “Despite the decline in general affiliation with religious institutions, Generation Z remains interested in learning about faith.”
In the Barna Group survey, 44% of participants stated they trust Christian-based institutions more than secular charities. 42% also trusted both types of charities equally. In recent days, a report was also published in Britain showing that approximately three-quarters of Generation Z believe that organizations based on Christian faith are the key to social change.
Josh Green, who led the Gen Zeal project focused on youth faith engagement, also commented on this: “Change is happening in our country. Therefore, do not think of surrendering even for a moment. I hope we are inspired to understand young people more deeply. When we give young people the opportunity to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, the evidence shows they are ready to reach higher levels.”
