Bennett’s Nowruz Greeting: Iranian and Israeli Peoples Face a Common Threat

Israeli Prime Minister on Sunday, March 20, congratulated the arrival of Nowruz 1401 in a video message and emphasized that the people of Iran and Israel face a common threat, which is the “oppressive and violent regime” of the Islamic Republic.

Naftali Bennett continued by calling the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps the “world’s largest terrorist organization” and added that the IRGC’s “proxy groups” and the “Basij” are considered a common threat against the peoples of Iran and Israel.

Addressing Iranians, he stated clearly: “We know that the Iranian regime does not represent you and they continue to deny you the freedom that is your right.”

The Israeli Prime Minister expressed hope that the Iranian people themselves would be able to achieve “true freedom” from the domination of the Islamic Republic’s government.

Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on March 18 issued a joint statement urging the United States not to remove the name of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from the American list of terrorist organizations.

In recent days, media reports have indicated the possible readiness of the Joe Biden administration to remove the IRGC’s name from the American terrorist list.
