Britain Sanctions 5 Iranian Officials

The British Foreign Office announced the addition of 5 Iranian officials to the country’s sanctions list.
In recent months, prior to the scheduled meeting of the UN Security Council regarding Resolution 2231, Britain had added thirteen members from various Iranian organizations and several Iranian institutions to its sanctions list due to human rights violations, and subsequently added the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace to the list of sanctioned individuals.
In addition to sanctioning various institutions by Britain, the Cyber Security Command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is also among the institutions that have been sanctioned by the British government.
The British government has now added 5 Iranian officials to its sanctions list in recent hours: “Ali Salehi” the prosecutor of Tehran, “Masoud Darwishi” the managing director of Tehran Metro, “Alireza Aidiani” the head of the ideological and political organization of the police force, “Ali Akbar Javidan” the police commander of Hormozgan, and “Hassan Mofakhami” the police commander of Mazandaran, regarding human rights violations.
The British Foreign Office also announced that following these sanctions, the probable assets of these individuals in Britain, America, and Canada will be frozen and these individuals are not permitted to travel to these countries.
